Rewards
The swidg platform rewards active users by calculating the amount of avoided kilometers and by allocating swidg coins.
Active users are users who make fully confirmed carpool trips in the app. These are trips of which all participants have accepted. These trips are visualized by the green color in the trip agenda.
The exchange of the coins is customer-specific and is determined by the closed group in which you carpool, being your company, institution or campus.
The avoided kilometers is the sum of the shared distance of a driver and a passenger. If a driver picks up multiple passengers at different pickup location then the driver gets the sum of the shared distance per passenger.
The ranking is your relative position in the closed group you belong to.
The reduced CO2 emission is a very rough estimation, because swidg does not know which type of car you are driving.
The coins “For exchange” are calculated each night based on your confirmed trips in the past. The “Planned” coins are not used yet.
The Reward shop is only active if your company, institution or campus is supporting it.
The standard swidg rewarding scheme is as follows:
50 coins: after successful onboarding
+ 50 coins: for your first involvement in a confirmed trip, as driver or as passenger
+ 5 coins: for each passenger that you take as driver per trip
+ 5 coins: for each trip in which you participate as passenger
+ 10 coins: for each 1.000 avoided kilometers
